Adam Zeloof started his career as a Mechanical Engineer, but after two degrees and several years working in the robotics industry, decided to try something else. In 2021, when his wife (then girlfriend) Sara got a Fullbright grant to study in London for a year, they both quit their jobs and moved to the UK. Realizing that if he was willing to quit his job and move across the world for her they would probably end up getting married, Adam saw this move as an opportunity to get ready. Knowing he would need to make a ring (because why buy something when you can spend 10x more learning how to make it, right?), he enrolled in school at the K2 Academy for Contemporary Jewellery. Since completing the program there and receiving a Level 7 SVQ in Design, he has spent years learning, growing, and honing his craft.
While Adam had been taking jewelry commissions and taking side work as an engineering consultant for a couple of years at this point, the need to formalize Zeloof Designworks as a business came in early 2026, when he had the opportunity to run a pop-up store at Bow Market in Somerville, MA. Although the two record-breaking Boston snowstorms that bookended the initial two-week pop-up put a bit of a damper on foot traffic, the store was a success and Adam was thrilled when he was able to bring Zeloof Designworks back to Bow Market, this time for a full month, in early Spring. The pop-up store not only let him get to know more customers face-to-face, but presented the opportunity satisfy a love for teaching and run classes, including workshops on chainmaille, sand casting, and cyanotype printing.
Now, Adam is back to working in his private studio on a blend of jewelry commissions, engineering work, and other crazy projects.
